Ambassador Shamieh represents the political situation with the representative of India

Dr. Mazen Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and expatriates for Asia, Africa and Australia received at his office at the Ministry, the representative of the Republic of India to Palestine, Mr. Sunil Kumar.

He began his meeting with condolences to India and to the victims of the terrorist act that killed 40 Indian soldiers. In the context, Shamieh expressed his concern about the tense situation between India and Pakistan, and stressed the need for restraint, and work to maintain calm and stability on both sides of the border.

He also briefed him on developments in the situation in Palestine in the light of the continued occupation of his racist policies, namely the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the piracy of Palestinian funds through deductions from the set-off under the pretext of martyrs and detainees. Affirming the position of the Palestinian leadership in its commitment to the martyrs and wounded and the prisoners of its militant people, and its rejection of all acts of extortion and aggression, which undermines its adherence to our national order, as discussed by the Ambassador Shamieh the bilateral relations between the two sides, and follow-up of Indian projects in Palestine, and Specifically from the higher Palestinian Diplomatic Academy and other projects.

The two parties discussed ways of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, culture, health, economy, energy, information technology and communication. The ambassador praised Shamiehfor the relations between the two sides, the need to strengthen them, and to work on the exchange of delegations and expertise in all fields including political and of Parliament.

Shamieh stressed the readiness of the Palestinian side to provide adequate arrangements for the Indian youth delegation and cultural visits and work to visit a Palestinian cultural delegation to India under the chairmanship of the Minister of Culture Palestine.

For his part, the Indian representative stressed the question of Palestine, which is the need to find a just solution in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution. India was keen to support the institutions of the Palestinian State and to stimulate the direction of Indian projects in Palestine.
