Ambassador Shamieh receives the representative of Japan to Palestine Ambassador Takeshi OKUBO

the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and expatriates for Asia, Africa and Australia ambassador Shamieh , received on Wednesday at the ministry's headquarters, the representative of Japan to Palestine, Ambassador Takeshi OKUBO, where the two sides discussed the latest political developments in the Palestinian arena and the developments of events In the East Asian region.

Shamieh reiterated the Palestinian side's appreciation for the efforts and activities of Ambassador OKUBO advance bilateral relations between the two countries, appreciating the increasing support of Japan in all fields and at all levels, both for the Gaza Strip and for UNRWA, and for development projects and development in all fields, and in the framework Building Palestinian human and institutional capacities, appreciating the efforts of JICA, Japan's efforts in the framework of the East Asian Conference to support Development in Palestine (SIBAD), educational level and exchange of educational experiences and scholarships, including Japan Recently arranged a visit to a group of teachers from the Gaza Strip to Japan to exchange experiences in the field of education.

 

Ambassador Shamieh also praised the development in the agricultural industrial city of Jericho as one of the most important pillars of Japan's "peace and Prosperity Corridor Project", and the price of the recent consensus on concessional facilities and loans to encourage investors to invest in the region. Levantine the importance of holding the second round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, which will be an opportunity to discuss the bilateral relations between the two countries in depth, as well as exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern.

 

For his part, Ambassador OKUBO stressed his country's continued support for the Palestinian people in all fields, and agreed to follow up on arranging a visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and expatriates Dr. Riad Malki to the agro-industrial city as soon as possible.
