Ambassador Shamieh meets with the Russian ambassador to the State of Palestine

The Assistant Secretary of State for Asia, Africa and Australia, Ambassador Dr. Mazen Shamieh, received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the State of Palestine, Ambassador Dr. Haidar Rashid Aganin, at the ministry's headquarters in the city of Ramallah.

The meeting discussed the political situation in the Palestinian issue and ways to enhance the resilience of the Palestinian people on their land and homeland.

The two sides also discussed ways of Palestinian action at the regional and international levels, particularly on the Asian continent and in Asian regional organizations, and Ambassador Shamieh stressed the importance of coordinating the Palestinian-Russian efforts in the Organization for interaction and confidence-building in Asia and CICA, which aims To promote mutual relations, joint cooperation, balance and crisis management and establish confidence-building measures among members.

The meetings are in preparation for the fifth Summit of the Organization for interaction and confidence building in Asia CICA, which will be held in June next month in the Tajik capital of Dushanbe.
