16 April 2020 | Highlights from the Ministers' Evening Briefing:

— In the beginning, the Government Spokesman, Ibrahim Milhem, announced a new COVID-19 case for a worker from Bani Na'im in Hebron. He said: "As of today, we have a total number of 295 COVID-19 cases in Palestine - in addition to 81 cases in occupied Jerusalem." He added:
— Among the 81 infected cases in occupied Jerusalem, there are 10 COVID-19 cases in Kufor Aqab, stressing that these numbers were obtained through local sources in the city as Israel still refuses to provide us with the real numbers of infected cases in the city.
— Tomorrow, 17 April marks Palestinian Prisoners' Day. We renew the Prime Minister's call for the release of prisoners, especially the sick, elderly, children, and women. We hold the Israeli prisons' authorities responsible for any case of COVID-19 in Israeli jails.

— In addition to 118 cases in Jerusalem governorate, the number of COVID-19 cases in the occupied city of Jerusalem has increased to 81, according to information from doctors and patients.
— The Israeli occupation is deliberately politicizing the COVID-19 crisis by concealing the pandemic spread map and the numbers of infected cases in Jerusalem.
— Over the past two months, we have monitored the occupation authorities' approval to build 17,700 settlement units in Jerusalem.
